Miserable cold rain at the start, and full on winter conditions on the hill!
I started the race wearing a helly and put on jacket and hat once halfway up the hill, as the wet snow started pelting down. Once we were higher on the hill the scene turned completely white with deep fresh snow on the summit ridge.
I can't remember much about the race, and it was hard to recognise fellow runners who were wrapped up against the elements. It was mainly a question of getting up and down the hill without getting hypothermia, and avoiding falling on the treacherously slippery rocks.
