Jura Fell Race

24th May 2008
27.8km, with 2400 metres of ascent
Results

Rob Jebb won by 8 minutes from Ian Holmes and Jethro Lennox, to finish in 3:07:49, missing Mark Rigby's 1994 record by a mere 50 seconds! Angela Mudge knocked a further 5 minutes off her own 2003 record to finish 7th overall in 3:40:33.

I felt completely washed out after last week's Island Peaks Race and struggled round in 4:04:11, having given up more or less after Corrabheinn.

Ellie managed 4:42:25 to knock almost 30 minutes off last year's time, and finished as 7th woman.

Chris,
You really are a glutten for punishment doing the Jura fell race so soon after the SIPR. I think that anyone doing the Jura fell race has my admiration after just walking the Paps last year. If it is any consolation Graeme and I had an equally rough sailing weekend at Tarbet putting it down to being too knackered after the SIPR activities! We only managed 7th this year after a previous win.
Still smiling,
Steven
PS I hope that after a couple of weeks you have fully recovered.
