Another fine sunny day. Cooler than yesterday, but OK for running in a vest. Luckily no obstacle course of prams, dogs and people not looking where they're going like yesterday. Instead complex route finding assisted by numerous arrows and red tape.
The race was won by Ruaridh Campbell of Arbroath Footers in a course record of 1:17:01. Next was Craig Stewart of Forfar Road Runners in 1:19:17. Then Stewart Whitlie 3rd in 1:20:07, I came in 4th in 1:20:17 - closely followed the entire race by Brian Cruickshank who finished 5th in 1:20:54.
Strangely I knocked more than 2 minutes off my Half Marathon PB, despite all the gates, road crossings and slogging up Balmashanner Hill near the end. Perhaps the One Pound Challenge is having a curious side effect!

Two pb's in 2 days - that 'new' vest must be lucky. Get the committee to approve it for the rest of us so that we can all start running pb's !!
:) just read all about the £1 challenge. That is class. What Chris can't you find a race to do every day? Are you having to actually do some training? And your times are coming down? Amazing! The new vest is indeed pretty sweet too. If you are really bored I am now blogging my training online at www.attackpoint.org my username is "hel vino"
