Fine sunny weather for the 37th Carnethy 5 Hill Race. Rob Jebb won in a fast time of 47:59, with Jethro Lennox 2nd and Scott Fraser 3rd. Angela Mudge was first lady in 56:09. I managed a PB of 56:26, finishing 26th overall, and 5th vet.

Great result Chris! Keep all the hard training going, it's certainly working. Only 90 secs and you'll be beating Damon, and then he'll be regretting starting you on this 1 quid challenge !
Thanks Charlie. Yes I was pretty pleased with the run. In fact only 3 folk passed me from Scald Law to the end, and they were Adrian Davis, Manny and Nige. I passed Tom Smith twice and passed Angela Mudge a few times, but she got the better of me on the climb up the gully.
Still, not bad to get 4 Westies all sub 56:30. Not sure that's ever happened before!
