Just ran the Glasgow Uni Road Race with a stinking cold and chest infection. Thought it might help clear my nose and head, but not sure it did much good.

Started slowly and proceeded to go backwards the entire race, only making a brief effort to keep with 1st lady Helen Stuart as she stormed past on the first lap. After that took it easy, until a minor effort to pip Jim Thyne of HBT on the line. Dismally failed to get under 30 minutes, finishing in 30:00.

Looking back at the finish, I realised Dave Calder was only seconds behind. Next Westerlands runner was Hamilton Semple, followed by Archie Cameron, Grim Orr, Ian Struthers, Drew Turnbull and Andy Freer.
